It mean it has no oil on it. An oil free acne wash does not necessarily means that it's gonna make you get rid of the oil in your face. What it means is that since there is no oil on the product it would not be added to the natural oils on your face. Saying that you can completely get rid of oil on your face it is like saying that you can use something that will cut your sweating. If you want to control an oily face you can also use St. Ives Apricot Scrub -blemish and blackhead control- for oily/combination skin.
It means theres no oil in it
